It's summertime and I imagine you're watching this video because you've thrown away those baggy jumpers
and you want to get rid of the belly fat
well you've come to the right video becauseI'm going to tell you with the help of science
how to get rid of belly fat
now what I won't be doing in this video is
telling you to do something extreme likea thousand sit ups a day from a pole hanging
upside down because well it's a littledifficult and also my tips are actually
better however if you do mix exercise with my
tips then the results will be evenbetter so before we begin please
remember that belly fat can also be asign that your health is at risk of other
conditions like type 2 diabetes, heartdisease so not only is getting rid of
your belly fat going to make you lookbetter it's also the make you healthier
so I guess it's a win-win now dieticiansrecommend that if you eat 500 less
calories than your daily requirementevery day you're going to be losing
about 0.45 kilograms every 7days which is about 1.8 kilograms every four weeks
which ispretty incredible to say you're gonna be
losing that much weight without doingany extra exercise just by eating less
food now you're probably thinking toyourself but Abraham I already know this
everybody knows this eat less food losemore weight which you are correct but
here's how you do it properly accordingto a study done from Oxford University
which leads me on to tip number one soto do this you're going to have to get
rid of snacks between meals you're going to be having three meals a day and no snacks between them
if you do snack you'reprobably not going to hit that target
of 500 calories less than your dailyrequirement tip number two it's all
about portion size so you don't need tochange what you eat but you are gonna
have to change your portion size and I'mgoing to tell you all about that next so
in the study participants were told toeat no more than a fist sized portion at
each meal so what does this meanthis means that you can only have a
daily intake of three fist-sized full ofcarbs two
palm-sized portions of lean protein andtwo cupfuls of vegetable or salad the
participants could also have two fistsizes of fruit and they could also have
two servings of fat or oilcovering the tip of the thumb now
participants could also have 200ml's ofskimmed or semi skimmed milk or if they
didn't want to have milk they could havetwo pots or two 125gram pots of natural
low-calorie yoghurt now I'll leave the fulldescription of this diet in the
description below for youas well tip number three now in the
study participants were told that theycould eat their usual foods which is
great you can do that too but rememberif your usual food consists of high
sugary foods or high fat foods like fastfood for example then you're gonna need
to avoid it and that was tip numberthree now when it comes to the results
of this study it's pretty incredible butbefore we go there there was also
another group in this study who didn'tchange their diet but instead did
10-minute abdominal workouts every dayfor six weeks and it had a great result
there was a two centimeter reduction intheir waistline but the clear winner of
this study was our group the diet controlgroup so after six weeks there was a
reduction of 5 centimeters in thewaistline which is incredible
there was also improvements in healthparameters like blood pressure like
blood glucose and lipids now justimagine for a second if you were to mix
the abdominal workout group with thediet control group which is our group
just imagine the results now pleaseremember if you have thought about getting
unlicensed diet pills because it mightseem like a quick fix solution just
remember this that the contents are unknown, unproven and untested also 2 in 3 people have

WHAT IS BELLY FAT: Belly fat is a more significant issue than the aesthetics of squeezing into last year’s skinny jeans – it’s an indicator of your overall health. There are two types of fat that sit around our midriffs. One is the subcutaneous fat – the fat under your skin that is distributed all over your body. It’s what is referred to when asked if you can pinch more than an inch. The other type is visceral fat, which surrounds all our vital organs such as the liver, pancreas and intestines. Visceral fat is said to be more “metabolically active” than subcutaneous fat, and researchers have found that the stress hormone cortisol significantly increases its storage. It has been strongly linked to both insulin resistance, inflammation and metabolic disease, even in those who have a normal BMI. But although it is considered more dangerous to our health, the good news is that it is easier to shift than subcutaneous fat. CALORIE CALCULATOR: Use this calorie calculator to find out how many calories you need to consume to maintain your weight. They aimed for a daily intake of, • Three fist-sized servings of carbohydrates • Two palm-sized servings of lean protein • Two cupped handfuls of vegetables or salad • Two fist-sized servings of fruit • Two servings of fat or oil covering the tip of the thumb In addition they could have 200ml/⅓ pint skimmed or semi-skimmed milk, or two 125g pots of natural or low-calorie yoghurt. As explained in the video there was another group in the experiment - the sit-up group. They each did a daily 10-minute abdominal workout over the six-week period. This group didn’t lose any weight or get any healthier, but they did lose an impressive average of 2cm from their waistlines. But the clear winner was our group the diet-control group. This group lost an average of 3.7kg each over just six weeks. Their average waistline reduced by 5cm. Dexa scan readings showed an average of 10 per cent of their existing body fat being lost, and an impressive 20 per cent reduction in the visceral fat inside the abdomen. This group lost overall body fat as well as abdominal fat, and saw improvements in their other general health parameters too. Including resting heart rate, blood glucose, blood lipids, weight and blood pressure.
